McGahee “On the Downswing” Says KFFL

KFFL.com has released a list of “Players on the Downswing” and new Ravens RB Willis McGhaee has made the list. Below are the comments on Willis from the site:
Willis McGahee, Baltimore Ravens - Looking to upgrade the running back position, the Ravens replaced running back Jamal Lewis (Cleveland Browns) with McGahee, a former first-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills. While McGahee does represent an upgrade over Lewis, it is similar to jumping from McDonald’s to Denny’s. It is an upgrade but not exactly fine dining. McGahee’s numbers dropped from 1,247 rushing yards in 2005 to 990 yards in 2006 (albeit with two less starts under his belt). However, his yards per carry was below four (3.8), and he managed just four runs of 20-plus yards. That is the second straight year with those numbers. He will be in a better situation in Buffalo, however, with teams stacking the line against him (Ravens quarterback Steve McNair is not much of a threat); it could be a long year. He is still solid but could be in for an off-year.
