Ravens Come Close to Spoiling Pats Perfect Season in 27-24 Loss

The Ravens almost pulled out the upset of the year Monday night, but in the end the Patriots survived another scare, pulling out a 27-24 win over the Ravens in Baltimore to remain perfect on the season.  Tom Brady’s eight-yard touchdown pass to Jabar Gaffney in the corner of the end zone with 44 seconds left lifted New England to victory and a 12-and-0 record.  Baltimore’s Kyle Boller heaved a 52-yard bomb that was caught by Mark Clayton at the two-yard line with no time left, but he was tackled right there to end the game.  Brady finished 18-of-38 for 257 yards and two TD’s for the Pats, who overcame three seven-point deficits to keep their chance at a perfect season alive.  Randy Moss caught four balls for 34 yards and a score in the win.  Boller was 15-of-23 for 210 yards and two touchdows for the Ravens, who fell to 4-and-8.  Willis McGahee ran 30 times for 138 yards and a TD in defeat.
