QB Spot in 2008 Open for Ravens

So now that Cam Cameron is the Ravens new offensive coordinator, who is going to play QB in 2008 for the team? That’s a great question, and one that likely will play out through mini-camps and training camp. As far as Cameron is concerned, there are three solid QB’s in the mix, and that includes Steve McNair, who is coming off a miserable year that saw him suffer multiple injuries and end up on IR.
Also in the mix for Cameron and new head coach John Harbaugh are Kyle Boller and Troy Smith, who led the team to a season ending win over the rival Steelers. The one thing Cameron has promised is that each guy is going to get his shot. “I don’t make a lot of promises,” said Cameron. “We’ve got a plan. I know we’re going to work hard, and we’ve got a system of offense that we like. I’m not in the habit of making a whole lot of promises offensively. We’ll let our play speak for itself.”
That basically means that whoever gets the call under center is going to have to perform, and perform well, meaning keeping mistakes at a minimum. Last season the Ravens were last in the league in turnover ratio, and if it’s McNair, Smith or Boller who is the starter on opening day, that QB is going to have to play dramatically better than last season.

Let’s all pray they draft the QB out of Boston College or Louisville in the 1st round and take another in the 2nd or 3rd round and dump all three Qb’s on the present roster. The draft two WR’s, then two DB’s and cut the all the present 2nd stringer DB’s. There just to small, slow, just BAD!!!!

I think Troy Smith is the guy for the Ravens, unless Matt Ryan falls to them. Brian Brohm has durability issues and some questions about his arm. I’d rather Andre Woodson, who is definitely a project but has the most upside of any QB in the draft, instead of Brian Brohm. The Ravens could draft a QB in the later rounds like Dennis Dixon, Chad Henne, Flacco, or Erik Ainge.
Trade the 8th pick to the Cowboys for their two first round picks and third round pick.

Ravens Depth Chart Next Year
1. Troy Smith
2. Steve McNair
3. Dennis Dixon
4. Kyle Boller
Troy smith ha two starts and what i know is that he didnt do very well in practice this season but he does better in the games which was also something Jim Tressel told the media before the draft started. He didnt do bad as the starter either, saying he was playing without McGahee or a good O-Line or a good defensive back, or Ray LEwis, etc. I also dont think they will keep Kyle boller, i think they will either cut him or put him on the Practice Squad. They need to Draft Dennis Dixon 2nd round because the Packers might take him. I mean they might i kno they llike guys that arent injury prone but they also need a new QB because Farve might be done or only one or two more years which would give Dixon good time to get ready. First round draft should be Vernon Gholston or Sedrick Ellis or Ryan Clady/Steve Justice

i think your right the Troy SMith and Dennis Diwon are the future but also this:
The ravens should trade Ray Lewis to the Bengals for their first round draft and maybe if they get lucky they could get a second round draft and Ocho Cinco who wants out of Cincinnati. You also trade mason for a third round. Then you take Ryan Clady, Boise State first round. In the second round first pick you take Aqib Talib, Kansas and with the Second James Hardy, Indiana. In the third you take (if still available) Steve Justice, Wake Forest. Then you have a much better o-line with Justice:Clady:Grubbs:Possibly Ogden. Troy Smith at QB: McGahee at RB: Hardy,Johnson,Clayton at WR. That is a rookie team with veteran guidance and that is how you fix your offense.
Next year you bust your balls to get two players; Laurinitis and Jenkins from Ohio State in the first round. With the second pick you get Alex Boone. With the third pick you might get Marice Evans. You also possible get a great future WR In the fourth Round in Robiskie
After Two Draft you have a young team with many veterans and over the years you get defense from the draft until you win the superbowl.

in seattle he did bad but atleast no Turnovers and a touchdown
in pittsburgh he dominated an won his second NFL Start

troy smith is a beast he didnt beat sucki teams in college he played a number two team twice and he played thirteen || twenty-one || and seventeen and still went undefeated
he got knocked because he didnt play well in the NTG or the Senior Bowl or the NFL Combine
NTG: Missing your star WR:O-Line Sucked-Your defense gave up 41 points-51 Days off
Senior Bowl: Your playing against all future # 1/#2 round picks which is a better team then a NFL Team, ad nobody does well in the Senior bowl
NFL Combine: Your emotionally drained by this time all the critics biting you wanting to tell them to kiss your A** and you getting rioted cuz your short: ||||| THats Whack
