The Ravens have picked up Redskins cast-off Marcus Mason to help out the RB core and placed him on their practice squad.  “The numbers were better with Baltimore, and we collectively thought that it made the most sense to go up the road,” Mason’s agent, Chad Wiestling said. “They only have two running backs on the active roster and it could be a very good opportunity for Marcus.”  The Ravens only two backs right now are rookie Ray Rice and injured starter Willis McGahee, who didn’t work much with the team in the offseason.  The team may be looking at using Mason if Rice can’t fill the void at McGahee can’t stay healthy.
