Ravens Have a Plan in Mind if Lewis or Scott Leaves
Posted by Matt Loede on February 22nd, 2009 in News
Pro Football Weekly is reporting that the Ravens are already thinking ahead just in case one of their big upcoming free agents – Ray Lewis or Bart Scott, leaves via free agency. Here is the report:
If the Ravens lose either of their starting inside linebackers (Ray Lewis or Bart Scott) in free agency, look for Tavares Gooden and Brendon Ayanbadejo to be at the top of potential competitors for a starting job. We hear the Ravens are confident in their ability to find a capable in-house replacement, if necessary, for either player.

I’ve heard good things about Gooden, kinda of sad to see these guys leaving pretty soon, but it will be fun to watch the younger guys develop like Scott did a couple years ago.
